We collaborate closely with EdTech startups, schools, districts, and other education adjacent organizations to help them adopt scalable, user‑centered, and integrated technology.
School Harbor’s HQ is located in Phoenix Arizona, but teammates on the Data Team live in Arizona, Colorado, and Maryland.
Role Overview
As a Data Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in transforming raw educational data into actionable insights. Responsibilities:
Data Management & Architecture
- Consolidate, clean, and maintain data from LMS, SIS, assessments, and other sources
- Design reliable ETL processes to support consistent data flows
Process Automation
- Build and maintain cloud-hosted automation workflows to streamline reporting, data transfers, and integrations
- Develop AI-driven tools to optimize and scale complex or repetitive processes
Analysis & Insight Development
- Explore trends and patterns in student engagement, assessment results, and system usage
- Develop and deliver KPI dashboards and performance reports for educators and administrators
Visualization & Reporting
- Build intuitive dashboards and visualizations using tools like Power BI, Tableau, or Plotly Dash
- Present findings in compelling, interactive formats tailored for non-technical stakeholders
Collaboration & Communication
- Partner with engineers, UX designers, product managers, and clients to understand analytical needs and inform product direction
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations
Quality Assurance & Compliance
- Ensure data integrity and governance across all analytics processes through thorough QA
- Adhere to ethical standards and regulatory requirements relevant to K-12 education data
Qualifications:
We’re seeking a candidate who can work independently and collaboratively, demonstrating initiative, problem-solving skills, curiosity, and the drive to build productive relationships with teammates, clients, and other stakeholders.

- Proficiency deploying cloud-hosted apps
- Strong data visualization and storytelling skills
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present insights to non-technical clients
- Experience interacting with customers or end-users in a professional setting
