Full job description
We’re looking for a motivated and creative Graphic Designer who’s ready to hit the ground running in a remote working role. You’ll need to be a strong communicator, adaptable and able to balance multiple projects. Working within our close-knit, dynamic team, you’ll contribute across a variety of design projects, always aiming to impress clients with your creativity and attention to detail.
You’ll be self-driven and organised, staying in touch with the team through Teams calls and chats throughout the day. While the role is remote, we’ll need you to be based around the Greater Manchester, Staffordshire or Cheshire area so you can join quarterly team meetings, socials and client workshops when needed.
Please only apply if you’re passionate about graphic design for B2B and not-for-profit organisations and want to grow your skills in a supportive, collaborative environment.
Responsibilities:
- Work confidently within brand guidelines to deliver high-quality designs, problem-solving as needed
- Translate creative concepts into clear, effective visual designs that reflect the brief
- Manage your workload efficiently, juggling multiple tasks while prioritising to meet deadlines and client budgets
- Communicate openly with the team, providing regular updates on project progress as this is especially important in a remote working environment
- Be receptive to feedback and collaborate effectively within our close-knit team
- Apply best-practice design principles, including alignment, hierarchy, colour contrast/accessibility and consistent use of brand guidelines
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of the differences between print and digital design, preparing artwork correctly for both formats
- Create client-ready presentations using PowerPoint, ensuring designs are visually consistent and on-brand
- Stay motivated to deliver work that impresses clients, keeping up to date with the latest design updates and sharing these with the team
- Help maintain an organised file system in Dropbox, correctly packaging assets for print, digital, and presentation purposes
- Build confidence liaising with clients over time, leading smaller projects while maintaining clear communication and high design standards
- Must have an appropriate home working environment (equipment will be provided)
- Keep Embrace’s mission, brand positioning and target audience front of mind, thinking beyond individual tasks to support the bigger picture
- Champion Embrace’s culture and embody our brand values
Qualifications/Requirements:
- 2–3 years of professional graphic design experience with a passion for both digital and print, ideally for B2B or not-for-profit organisations
- Strong eye for layout, typography, colour and detail, with the ability to apply brand guidelines consistently and create thoughtful, audience-focused designs
- Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop) with basic knowledge of motion/animation (After Effects) and willingness to learn
- Strong knowledge with WordPress and Figma, understanding how designs translate into live websites (experience with builders like Divi)
- Skilled in creating client-ready presentations using PowerPoint, ensuring high-quality, on-brand designs
- Knowledge of social media and digital formats, able to design engaging content for various platforms
- Excellent communication skills, confident in sharing ideas, asking questions and receiving feedback
- Highly organised and proactive, able to manage time effectively across multiple projects and motivated to learn, develop and grow within a fast-paced creative team
Location
Remote working but ideally based in the Greater Manchester, Staffordshire or Cheshire area as we meet for quarterly team meetings and socials, usually in Manchester. Our past socials have included Bongo’s Bingo, The Cube, Escape Room and meals and drinks out together.
